Nando's imposter

The Brief 

The task at hand was to launch the Nando's full chicken and a sharing side for Easter, a time when families and friends come together. 

The Idea: 

Our idea was to explore the concept of how South Africans often refer to each other as "my sister," "my brother," or "mama," even when we are not actually related. In a country as diverse as ours, what happens when these individuals become too familiar and start showing up at family gatherings, pretending to be family just to get a free meal?  

In our world it’s normal to have uninvited guests show up during lunch or dinner time, this is where funny situations often arise from misunderstandings.  

So, we thought about what's the most outrageous way to capture this concept? Enter Bo! He's a guy who pretends to be family and will do, and say anything just to snag a taste of the Nando's unique PERi - PERi chicken.  

Because with the Nando's  full chicken and a side , strangers, relatives, or relative strangers feel like they are family, even when they aren’t.
